I went back to work full time this month for the first time since my little guy was born almost three years ago. My husband is doing a very intense accelerated nursing program for the next year so it was pretty necessary and I'm grateful to have found a good job. I needed to get some "comfortable" black shoes to wear for work. I've always wanted to own a pair of Toms, and I figured these would be great for my job.
Well... they would be if they had more of a sole. They are super comfortable, but when you are standing on a tile floor for 10 hours straight... they just don't make the cut. So they will have to be my comfortable shoes to wear when I'm not at work.
I still love them though! I would love to get another pair sometime, maybe the yellow cord ones. Those are adorable.
Oh bummer- I thought these would be ultra comfy for my lame feet so I have been waiting on an olive green pair for a while. Maybe they will be fine, but not for standing for 10 hours straight! :)
ReplyDeleteThis may sound really crazy but I think I found the most comfortable shoes to wear on hard floors or hours on end ever! It was quite by accident too. I bought a pair of Skechers Shape Ups on sale at famous footwear to wear on a vacation with my parents where I knew I was going to be walking a lot. Since I wear heels much of the time and hardly exercise I thought this would be a good option to help get in shape. The insides are so cushion-y and as the sales girl told me they have the effect of walking on sand. My feet never ever hurt when I wear them and that is a miracle becuase I have sensitive feet. My buns and thighs got a little sore at first but that is gone now.
