Closet question...

I want your opinion on something...

If you are re-painting a room do you re-paint the closet? I have a few rooms I'm going to paint and the new color is very different than the color it is now. Should I take the time to paint the closet or do I just leave it?

  1. oooh, I love opinions! Here's mine: If they're walk in closets, you'd feel better if you did. It'll make you want to keep it as clean and organized as the rest of your newly decorated room. If its a sliding door and a metal rod, fa-get-a-bout-it! you'll never see it anyway, save your strength for something else :)

ps- that closet photo makes me drool!

  2. We debated the same thing when we repainted a few rooms in December. We decided to repaint the closets - we figured that if we didn't paint them then, they wouldn't get painted for the next 5-10 years. For us, it was worth it to paint the closets too.

    Good luck!

  4. I would personally leave the closets unpainted. That's just me.

  5. I think it depends on what type of closet it is. If you can see a lot of the wall like in that pic then yes. If it's a regular closet then no.

  6. I think having a closet painted makes the closet look more clean but that's just me! I love color!

  7. I only paint my closets white even if the room is colored. That way you only have to paint them when they really need it.

  8. With the type of closet I know you are referring too, I would paint it (That is if you are still taking the doors off). Just drag everything out and do it all once. Then you don't have to worry about it later. I agree that if it is a bedroom or hall closet with doors than don't paint it unless you have to.
